Oversee all aspects of Coast Guard Messaging using U.S. Navy servers as a key Administrator in charge of over 16k users. Create process guides for users and administrators, enforce organizational policies and guidelines, and streamline delivery process. Maintain over 1k unit-specific addresses (PLAs) used for organizational messaging, 250 specialized distribution groups, user permissions for over 4k mailboxes in Microsoft Exchange, and 4k+ distribution groups associated with the shared mailboxes. Develop and execute annual $400k budget and spend plans. Test software, serve as Cellular Manager, and manage 4-member engineering team.

Key Achievements:

  • Improved/updated 2 manuals with updated policies for use for the whole U.S. Coast Guard.
  • Spearheaded development of 10 new process guides for daily user and administrator use.
  • Implemented a mail profiler that decrypted U.S. Navy emails and sent them to U.S. Coast Guard mailboxes to be completely automated which was the first in both the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Navy.
  • Fixed the U.S. Coast Guard’s messaging system to operate in a more proficient manner.
